I’ve seen this a few times & it just gets stuck in my head. I can’t say the word “potatoes” any more with out the accent. It’s from a Mike Nesmith (yes, of The Monkees) TV show from the mid 80′s called Television Parts.  click the “play” button to enjoy the video.

Patrick and I just went out to his home territory (Lancaster, PA) to search for an Amish quilt. The quilt is a wedding present to us from Patrick’s mom and we had only just now (2 years after our nuptials) made it out to Amish country to look for one. After a day-long search we had just about given up when we came upon this one and fell in love. It is not a typically Amish quilt as it is made from different Batik materials (tie-dyed material from Indonesia usually made into sarongs), but it was hand-quilted in Lancaster county with evident love and care and shows really interesting quilting patterns at the edges. It is a “postage stamp” design with over 5,000 tiny squares quilted together (Patrick counted). And most importantly, the cats look good on it. So now I guess we are finally married as we have received our last gift and I will call this our last “thank you” note sent. Thank you Nancy.

We went to Pratt last night for our annual New Years Eve steam ritual. It’s a fabulous experience that I really can’t do justice with words so here are some nice pictures of the steam engine room.

My cousin Jason just sent me this video and it’s pretty funny. Certainly not because I’ve ever, ever said and/or thought any of / or all of these things though.

Also here is a photo of Sasha Penwarden, Heather’s sister’s daughter who just turned 1 recently, who was featured on the Penwardens’ Christmas card. She’s awful cute, and we want to share her cuteness to those of you who have not met her yet.

I’m doing a job for some Comedy Central promo tomorrow where we have to shoot some zombies. I needed to test the loads on myself first so here’s a little clip of me as a zombie getting shot with a shotgun. Man, I am a really good zombie.

So it looks  like our holiday cards are starting to arrive because we have a visitor. Welcome Barbara, you’re our first cyber guest. Those of you who somehow managed to get & stay on our card list have seen pictures of all of our nieces & nephew except one. The tiny one in the picture to the right is Kenzie. She’s our newest. I suppose, more accurately she’s Whitney’s newest or her own newest, but we are a very possessive aunt & uncle.

Whitney sent us this card & it’s so beautiful that I though I’d share it & through the magic of the interweb I can. The picture was taken at my dad’s time share last month very shortly after Kenzie was born.

So we welcome Kenzie into the world and we welcome you all to our home on the web. Like all new homes we’ll be changing things around a lot so keep checking in for new & exciting stuff.
